About
The stegosaurus decorates a spotted egg, the baby T. rex stirs a bowl beside cookies, and a crested dinosaur plays a drum with triangular side panels. Different body shapes remain easy to compare: a long-necked dinosaur holds hanging stars, an armored one stands at a picnic, and a sail-backed one fishes at a pond. One page brings two characters together around a block tower. The flying reptile carrying a flower adds spread wings to the collection; it is a Pteranodon rather than a dinosaur. Use the pictures as imaginative coloring scenes, not depictions of real prehistoric behavior. Broad bodies provide a starting area, then basket weave, flower garland leaves, fish scales and little bubble reflections offer more precise work. A shared palette for the characters can link the book while the objects change from page to page.
